A couple weeks ago !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . The guy claimed to have insurance, but wouldn't give me his information, and ultimately drove off, although not before posing for pictures. I wouldn't have even reported the accident, but since he drove off without giving me any info, I called the cops. They were all over it, and they caught the guy. He was arrested for DUI, and his truck was impounded.

A few days ago I got what appeared to be junk-mail from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and today, instead of tearing it in half and tossing it unopened in the trash like I normally would, I opened it. Much to my surprise, there was a check for $100 inside, with a letter thanking me for helping to get a drunk driver off the road. The officer who had taken my report had written it up, and sent it into them. That was a pleasant surprise!
Oh, in the light of day the next morning, I confirmed that there was no damage to my car either.

I was rear-ended in stop and go traffic a few years back. The guy was being belligerent and refusing to give me insurance information. I called the cops, and motorcycle policeman showed up. The guy started be belligerent with the cop. The cop tapped on my window and told me it would be best if I went on home. I did, and found out later from my insurance the guy was drunk, had no license due to a previous DUI, no insurance, and the car he was driving? That belonged to someone who had left it at his body shop for repairs.
